The first Microphone shootout. (in english)

It’s a total of 14 mics in every possible pricerange. From 90EUR to 3300EUR.  Some common, some not so common.  Here are the technotes for the shootout.

Almost every one of these mics are avalible in Sweden from the store JAM, who were kind enough to lend us the Sontronics mics for this test. Be sure to check their website for some killer deals.

So, here are the movies, be sure to watch them in HD because of the sound. Thanx to Camille who actually sang the song 14 times.  🙂
And yes this is not a scientific test, we tried to match the levels by meter and ear, but the distance is the exact same on every take, same settings on the Neve, same settings on the TubeTech etc. We used a hardware pad on some of the mics, and the built in pad on some of the mics. Enjoy!
